Miho's Jazz Orchestra

Japanese-born New Zealander Miho Wada studied flute in Cuba, London (Trinity College of Music) and New Zealand (University of Canterbury) and has worked with artists such as Nigel Kennedy, Iggy Pop, Jarvis Cocker, Ska Cubano and members of the Buena Vista Social Club. She formed Miho's Jazz Orchestra in 2011 to record a one-off charity album, but the members had so much fun they decided to stay together and see where the road took them. With seven albums and three EPs, including one recorded at Sun Studios in Memphis, the band has been prolific. They have toured and performed at festivals in Japan, Australia and New Zealand, along with plenty of action in the NZ album charts, hitting the top 10 and 20 numerous times.
