Chris Lam Sam

Chris Lam Sam has been entertaining young families for almost 20 years.

He’s best known for his work with children’s musical super group The Funky Monkeys.

He’s now produced one of the funniest, silliest, and most interactive show for young kiwi families. Mr Lam Sam’s Musical Mayhem Show was inspired by good, old-fashioned family TV entertainment from the 70s and 80s.

He’s also had long associations with other children’s shows. He has been musical director for the Kids for Kids choirs across New Zealand since 2009.

He has performed the Sailor Asthma Show more than 600 times for the Asthma and Respiratory Foundation since 2012.

He’s also performed regularly as the children’s Animateur for the New Zealand Symphony Orchestra since 2016.

In 2018, his first internationally published children’s book – Inspector Brunswick: Case of The Missing Eyebrow – won a 2018 Storylines Notable Book Award alongside Dame Lynley Dodd and Joy Cowley.
