Smashproof, comprised of Deach, TY and Sid Diamond, have been performing hip-hop for 10 years.

Their debut single Brother (featuring Gin Wigmore) remained at number one, in the Top 40 singles chart in 2009 for 11 weeks. The track featured on their album The Weekend which debuted at number three in the Top 40 album chart. The single Ordinary Life is certified gold and It’s Friday was a Top 20 hit single. In 2009, Smashproof won three Tui at the New Zealand Music Awards. Their album Forever was released in 2014.

The band are community focused in South Auckland and have spoken out on issues including domestic violence and poverty.

They have toured extensively in Australasia and are great party performers.
