Sean James Donnelly, aka SJD, returns to the stage with his band of longtime conspirators Sandy Mill, James Duncan, Chris O’Connor, Mike Hall and Claire Cowan. They'll be playing songs from his latest album Saint John Divine and revisiting some classic tunes Southern Lights and Songs From A Dictaphone.
In a Sunday Star Times review Nick Bollinger described SJD as "blue-eyed soul that reaches down into the core of your being". He's a recent musical director of the APRA Silver Scroll awards, winner of a Taite prize and has a handful of Tui's on his mantelpiece.
Sean has worked with the best New Zealand music has to offer, Don McGlashan, Neil Finn, Julia Deans, Anna Coddington to name a few.
