Japanese punk-jazz mixed with Latin, rock, pop and virtually every other genre imaginable. Born in Japan and raised in New Zealand, Miho studied flute in Cuba, London (Trinity College of Music) and New Zealand (University of Canterbury).
She has three albums under her belt and has been described as one of New Zealand’s most entertaining jazz acts, performing sold out shows at festivals and concert around the country.
Miho’s played with some of the world’s best, including Nigel Kennedy, Iggy Pop, Jarvis Cocker, Ska Cubano and members of the Buena Vista Social Club.
In 2014 she travelled to New Orleans to study traditional jazz and while there recorded at Memphis’ legendary Sun Studio with some of the finest studio musicians available, including Johnny Cash’s bassist Dave Roe.
